Currently there are 3 genocides happening around the world!!
Along with protesting the governments responsible... here's how to contact executives in the companies that benefit the most from the pain and suffering of others!

Congo's Cobalt

The 25+ year conflict in Congo is driven by a complex mix of factors, including resource exploitation, power struggles, and centuries of colonial interference, which ultimately resulted in their first genocide. Resource companies (mining) seeking profit have often exacerbated the conflict by fueling violence and instability to secure access to valuable minerals like cobalt, gold, and diamonds.

Leading US companies in the electronics industries, such as smartphones, cars, batteries, and computer manufacturers & and sales, benefit from coltan sourced from conflict areas in Congo. Demand for cobalt contributes to the conflict, as armed groups control mining areas, exploiting workers and perpetuating instability for profit.

Palestine's/Israel's Diamonds

The U.S. imports more diamonds from Israel, (prior Palestinian land), than anyone in the world and now Israel has become the "Diamond Capital of The World".

Israeli companies are major players in the diamond industry, primarily involved in cutting, polishing, and trading. These companies export finished diamonds to the U.S., where they are distributed to jewelry retailers. Benefiting companies include those in the diamond trading, jewelry manufacturing, and retail sectors.

Sudan's Gold

The U.S. needs additional gold reserves to stabilize the dollar since gold is often viewed as a store of value. Increasing gold reserves can bolster confidence in the currency and help safeguard against economic uncertainties, inflation, or fluctuations in the value of the dollar.

Gold exploitation contributes to conflict in Sudan as the regulated raw gold trade is grossly undervalued, indirectly fueling violence and instability, while other nations benefit financially.

Benefitting companies are those at the top of the gold trading industry, refining, and jewelry production, responsible sourcing is vital to avoid fueling conflicts.

First, google "what do (company) employee emails look like?".

Most formats are below but every company is different and each should be googled before you assume one or the other...

Then google the company and the executive's title.

For example, "Who is Apple's President, Vice Presidents, CEO, CFO, COO, Board of Directors, Chair Person, or any major job title?"

(Keyboard Warriors can also search for companies on LinkedIn, select "people" in the category tab, then find executives.)

Then plug the name in the email format that you got from Google like,

tim.cook@apple.com

Then copy and paste the applicable message below and send!

US Senate & House of Representatives can be emailed as well with the email format...

Hi [Recipient's Name or Title],

I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to you as a concerned individual who acknowledges the critical role of the cobalt mining industry in the Democratic Republic of Congo. While the extraction and export of cobalt are vital for various sectors, including technology and renewable energy, recent reports and evidence have raised grave concerns about human rights violations, including the use of child labor, violence, and even genocide due to the cobalt mining sector.

The allegations of the second genocide in Congo, and child labor are deeply troubling and require immediate attention. I believe it is essential for us, as responsible stakeholders in the industry, to address these issues and work collaboratively toward a more ethical and sustainable future for cobalt mining in the region.

I kindly request your attention to the following actions:

1. Advocacy for Peace: Use your influence and platform to advocate for a peaceful resolution to the crisis in the DRC. Engage with government officials, NGOs, organizations, and international bodies to encourage diplomatic efforts and dialogue.

2. Implement Ethical Sourcing Practices: Encourage and adopt responsible sourcing practices for cobalt to ensure that your supply chain is free from child labor and human rights violations. Collaboration with industry associations and NGOs can assist in achieving these goals.

3. Support Community Development: Invest in initiatives that promote the well-being of local communities in cobalt mining areas and beyond. By fostering sustainable development, you can help alleviate poverty and create a more stable and prosperous environment for all.

4. Promote Dialogue: Encourage dialogue and understanding between different communities and stakeholders in the region. Fostering an environment where people can communicate and find common ground is essential for lasting peace.

5. Support Humanitarian Aid: Support and contribute to humanitarian efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Congolese people. This includes initiatives that provide food, shelter, medical, and financial assistance to those affected by the crisis.

6. Human Rights Initiatives: Promote and implement human rights and social responsibility initiatives within the cobalt mining industry, ensuring that business practices align with international human rights standards.

7. Conduct a thorough Independent Investigation: It is crucial to conduct a comprehensive and independent investigation into the allegations of child labor and human rights abuses in the cobalt mining industry in the Democratic Republic of Congo. An impartial inquiry can help establish the facts and ensure justice is served.

I understand that addressing these issues may be complex and challenging, but it is in the best interest of all parties involved, including the industry, the local population, the international community, and your "valued" customers. An ethical and responsible cobalt mining sector is essential to ensure long-term sustainability and ethical practices.

We hope you'll consider further exploring these concerns and potential solutions. Your leadership and commitment to these matters can make a significant impact on improving the humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo and enhancing the reputation of the cobalt industry.

Thank you for your time, and consideration in addressing these critical concerns.

Sincerely,
